Leander, situated on the Thames at
Henley, is the foremost rowing club in Britain and possibly the
world. Their famous club colour, Pink, can be seen at many of the
world's regattas and most likely at the Olympics as well. So too is
the club emblem, a Hippo, a well known site in the rowing world. The
Club runs a shop at its headquarters and all the profits from the shop go
to the Boat Fund, this fund is used to help cover the costs of maintenance
and the purchase of boats. All the profits from items sold here are likewise going to the Boat Fund
and the prices are the same as the shop prices. |
